About Japan Houses
Japan Houses (japan-houses.com) is an information website that shows houses for sale in Japan, translated into English, with estimated costs, hazard readings and a foreign-buyer check. By using the site you agree to these terms.
We are not an estate agent
Japan Houses does not sell, rent or broker any property and is not a party to any sale. When you send a question about a house, we forward it to a licensed real-estate agent, who answers you directly. Any purchase is a contract between you and the seller, through the agent, and we are not responsible for it.
Information is indicative
Listings come from Japanese real-estate portals and agents and are translated and checked automatically. Prices, availability, areas, costs, currency conversions and risk readings can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and a house may already be sold. Cost figures are estimates for budgeting, not quotes or tax advice. Nothing on the site is legal, tax, financial or surveying advice: confirm everything with a licensed agent, a surveyor and a judicial scrivener before you commit money.
Your account
A free account lets you save houses and receive the weekly list and price alerts. You can create it with your email or with Google. Give a real email address, keep your access private, and do not use the site to send spam or abuse. You can stop the emails at any time with the unsubscribe link, and ask us to delete your data (see Privacy).
Pro membership
Pro is a paid membership billed through Stripe, yearly or monthly, at the price shown on the Pro page and at checkout, in your local currency where available. It starts with a 7-day free trial; a payment card is required to start it. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the membership starts and renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in one click from your account: Pro stays active until the end of the period already paid and is not renewed. Periods already started are not refunded, except where the law requires it. If we change the price, we tell you before it applies to your next renewal.
Acceptable use
Do not copy the site at scale, scrape it, overload it, or try to break into it. Do not use it for anything unlawful. We may block access or remove accounts that do.
Content
Listing photos and descriptions belong to their owners and are shown for information; our own texts, checks and design are protected. You may share links to our pages freely.
Liability
The site is provided “as is”, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, Japan Houses is not liable for losses resulting from the use of the information on the site or from a transaction you make.
Changes
We may update these terms and the site at any time; the date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
